Charity Auction Longies

At the start of the month I auctioned a longies custom slot off with 100% of the proceeds going to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. The winning bid was for a fabulous £51, making a total donation of £64 when gift aid was taken into account *wootles*

The winner chose this scrummy organic merino yarn, which was hand dyed by my friend Babylonglegs in her "Ragdoll" colourway.

I added some purple trim for a nice bit of contrast, and the pocket for toddler sized hands to stuff all those twigs, leaves, and bits of biscuit for nibbling on later....
Lots of custom work booked in for January so watch out for updates in the New Year. I'm lucky enough to be working some handspun yarn into a soaker, worthy of an update all of its own I reckon!

Around and around in tiny circles

Been working hard on customs the last few weeks, trying (and succeeding) to get everything finished in good time for the festive season...yo ho ho. Buy British Month was a roaring success, so a busy, busy, November in my house.
Amoungst the usual longies I branched out into tunisian crocheted items, namely mug coasters and a couple of little buttoned pouches, plus some catnip laden cat charmers. I tested the Tempestuous Charmers on my cats, and my word - Mr Tep sprang about like crazy, tore the packet open, showered catnip all over the floor, and proceeded to roll about in it for most of AvP, and then Fight Club. Very apt. He fought Grendal for the charmer, proper fisticuffs and mrrooooaaaaaaaaawling.

I also had a rather special request for some half fingered gloves!

Juggling 3 or 4 double ended needles with so few stitches takes some getting used to, although I'm kinda in love with my dpn's now.

Inifinately more so than during my sock knitting escapade in the Summer, will I try that again? Who knows...for now its all about the

GLOVE LOVE..or is it GLOVE HATE?
